Pre-K Pre-K classes have been introduced to the artist Piet Mondrian. We looked at his art and talked about abstract art. We are reviewing the primary colors and I read them the book "Mouse Paint". The children had fun mixing the primary colors to make secondary colors. The children will enjoy taking their mixed color sheets and making mice.
Kindergarten Kindergarten students have started drawing clowns. This was a directed step by step lesson. We start with a giant T on the paper and this kept the children guessing on what we were drawing. Next week we will have fun coloring and painting the clowns.
Pre -1st Mrs. Igleheart's class is working on a Valentine collage using tissue paper for the back ground and cut out hearts in the foreground.
